A reader of Saving with Amy- Becky emailed me with a pretty sweet little trip to Family Dollar and Dollar General the other day. I thought I would share her trip with you so you can see her savings first hand.
First off, Becky stopped by Family Dollar and got the following (all pictured above):
- (2) Betty Crocker Warm Delights
- She used the $.75/1 from 5/2 SS
- AND the Family Dollar in-store coupon B1G1 for $.01 - (2) Welch’s Grape Juice 64 oz
- She used the $1/1 printable
Becky only spent a total of $2.43 on that! 1 bottle of Welch’s alone would cost that!
Next she went to Dollar General where she got the following (pictured above):
- (7) Pedigree Dentastix Dog Treats
- She used the $2/1 from 4/25 RP - (1) Bag Werther’s Original
- She didn’t even use a coupon
Her total here was only $1.08! The Dentastix alone are priced higher than that.
Becky wanted to point out that sometimes, it does pay to order extra coupons from ebay or a coupon clipping service. Especially when its a great deal.
