Our Trip to the Beach 2010

My family and I enjoyed a much-needed vacation to the beaches in Florida last week. It was so nice to have a break and take it easy, if only for a little while.

On the way there I was able to stop by my favorite store of all time- Dirt Cheap! Its a store that sells returned or salvaged items from big name stores such as Kohl’s or Macy’s at super low prices. This trip I was able to find some really hot heels for only $2 and a Keurig coffee maker (brand new) for only $30! If you live in AL, LA, or MS and haven’t been to Dirt Cheap, I recommend checking it out. Its one of those stores that requires actually digging to find deals, but if you up for it- you’ll find lots of hot deals.

We spent a lot of our time just laying on the beach and trying to keep our 3 year old from tearing down our sand castles. I also hit up a few thrift stores. One of which was amazing. Harvest House in Destin is a must see for those nearby. They had all of their clothes for only $1.75 each. One particular day that I was there- they have marked all of them down to only $.50 each!

I even got to meet up with one of my blogger friends- Ashley from Frugal Coupon Living! She is such a sweetheart and our girls had a blast playing together.

All in all, it was an amazing trip that I won’t soon forget. I’m thankful for the time away, but its back to the deals and saving you money!
