You read that right! In an attempt to prove that you CAN use coupons at Walmart and still save even more money, I took myself down to my local store and proceeded to use coupons.
Unfortunately, it didn’t all work out as planned. I ended up arguing with the manager (like I always do) about something little and stupid that they SAY is part of their policy but its really only because they didn’t know how to do something in their computers. Don’t you just love that?
But nevertheless, I ended up with a few pretty nice deals and only had one coupon that they would not let me use. Here’s what I got!
2 Land O’Frost 1 lb Lunch Meats $3.00- Used the 2/1 printable= $1.00
6 Lunchables Sub Combo $1.57- Used (2) .75/2 and (4) 1/1= $.65 each
1 6pk of Eggs $.84- No Coupons= $.84
1 Reynolds Slow Cooker Liner $1.87- Used a 1/1= $.87
2 Seapak Shrimp Poppers $1.58- Used a 1/1= $.58 each
2 Riceland Rice 1 lb Bags $.88- Used a .50/1= $.38 each
1 Borden Singles Cheese $1.88- Used a 1/1= $.88
1 Coffee Mate Creamer Sticks $.98- Used a .50/1= $.48
1 Pam Cooking Spray $2.98- Used a FREE coupon= FREE
2 Sure for Men Deo. $1.96- Used a 1.50/1= $.46 each
1 White Cloud 2pk PT $2.50- Used a 1/1= $1.50
3 Schick ST2 Razors $1.97- Used a 3/1= FREE (they didn’t adjust them- imagine that- so I got 1.03 in OVERAGE!)
Total Savings: $30.90
Total OOP: $14.66
Savings of 67.8%
I’m not going to complain about those savings at Walmart. But the next time that I attempt to “coupon shop” at Walmart, I think I’ll need to take me a Tylenol before I go to resist the headaches!
Have you had any luck at Walmart lately? I’d love to hear about it!
